My Champion

You are not going to win every game,

There’s no reason to hang your head in shame.

You tried your best and gave it your all,

What have I told you to do when you fall?

Get back up and learn from from your mistakes,

It will shape your character and a better person it makes.

Hold your head high with confidence and class,

This feeling of defeat will surely pass.

I’m so proud of your effort and your brave display,

I’m honored to be your mom I must say.

Congratulations to the Bobcats 2nd place finish for the indoor season!

  1. What great motherly advice about winning and losing wrapped up in this beautiful poem! Congratulations to the Bobcats! Second place for the season is nothing to sneeze at!
